Pinterest Inspired DIY Project: Lining Shelves with Linoleum Tile Squares

One of the first things I wanted to do since moving to my new house was line the shelves with linoleum tile squares.  I was on Pinterest looking for ideas on how to better organize and decorate my house and came across the idea of using linoleum tile squares in lieu of shelf paper.  I love the idea of how clean and neat it looks and how easy it will make cleaning up. I am starting with the bathrooms and then the laundry room and lastly the kitchen.

I bought my supplies from Lowes.  Since my husband is in the military, we benefit from a military discount so, we always shop there for our house supplies.  The tiles I chose are $0.37 each, not including discount.  The cutter and razors were $1 each.  This is an inexpensive project.

After you have wiped down the cabinet with a damp sponge, wait for it to thoroughly dry before placing tiles in cabinet.

I drew on the back of the tile where I needed to cut and placed tiles in position before sticking them to the cabinet.  Once I saw that everything fit, I peeled and placed tiles where I wanted them to go.

So simple!  Seriously, if I can do it, you can too!!

  2. Ah, Letitia! I want to believe that I could do it if you can. But, I am inept in the simplest of things. =) This is exactly in our price range. I've got mommy brain so bad, I could mess up anything. I've left the gas on for hours and God has so protected our house from fire. Sigh. My son almost grabbed the largest kitchen knife off our counter yesterday. I just about had a heart-attack. He skirted death about 3 times in a single day. I'm down on luck, but hitting the jackpot with God's love and favor. =) Blessings to you~
